Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Tab Oscillating Blocker handles information. Tab Oscillating Blocker is a Chrome extension that detects rapid tab switching and opens a short local breathing reset to help reduce attention fragmentation.
Data Collection
Tab Oscillating Blocker does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information. The extension does not require an account and does not use a remote server.
Local Data Stored on Your Device
The extension stores the following information locally in Chrome extension storage:
- Whether the extension is enabled or disabled.
- Your configured tab-switch threshold and time window.
- Your configured breathing reset duration.
- Your ignored-site list.
- Your optional work schedule settings.
- Local reset statistics, such as today's reset count and recent trend data.
- Temporary cooldown and breathing reset state.
This information remains on your device and is used only to provide the extension's core functionality.
Browser Tab Information
Tab Oscillating Blocker uses Chrome tab activation events to detect rapid switching between tabs. The extension may temporarily read the active tab URL to redirect that tab to the local breathing reset page and to support the ignored-site feature. Tab URLs are not transmitted to any external service.
Third-Party Sharing
Tab Oscillating Blocker does not share user data with third parties.
Remote Code and Analytics
The extension does not use remote code, advertising SDKs, analytics services, tracking pixels, or external telemetry.
Chrome Web Store User Data Policy
The use of information received from Chrome APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated if the extension's functionality or data handling changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made.
Contact
For privacy questions, contact the developer through the Chrome Web Store developer profile or the support contact listed on the extension's store page.
